We are proud to announce from Greece the publication of a new study on robot-assisted gynecological surgery, the result of a model collaboration between the private and public sectors, as well as university clinics.
The study highlights how specialized training and seamless team coordination maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and – above all – patient safety. It also concludes that robotic surgery in gynaecology is not only feasible but fully integrated into clinical practice, proving to be both effective and safe even on days with a high volume of scheduled surgical procedures.
Through the standardization of preoperative preparation protocols and the optimization of collaboration among surgical team members, significant improvement in overall performance can be achieved, with a focus on patient safety and health.
We extend our gratitude to the Hellenic Robotic Gynaecological Society for providing a platform for collaboration and research centered on patient benefit.
This research was a collaborative effort between the following institutions:
- 1st Gynaecology Department, Division of Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, Metropolitan General Hospital, Athens
- 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Alexandra Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
