The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on assisted reproduction
Introduction:
Since the beginning of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the field of assisted reproduction. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and many National Medical Assisted Authorities had proposed postponement of most assisted reproductive treatments.
In case you have undergone or you are currently seeking fertility treatment, you can participate in this research to help us explore and address the issues that have surfaced in assisted reproduction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Objectives:
The main goal of this research is to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the decision of participants to undergo assisted reproductive treatment. We will be able to develop a deeper understanding on issues arise in the field of reproductive medicine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This would facilitate management of these patients in the COVID-19 era.
Survey process:
This research concerns men and women, above 18 years old, who have undergone or are seeking infertility treatments.
Your answers are optional, except country, age and gender. Once you reply, the information you submitted cannot be withdrawn.
The questionnaire contains 17 questions in total. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please try to answer all questions as honestly as possible.
The results of this survey will be published anonymously at the EmbryoClinic Website and possibly in scientific journals and there is not any possibility of identifying the persons who participated.
Bioethics Committee:
According to the National Bioethics Committee (http://www.bioethics.gr/), the legislation does not require prior approval by an Ethics Committee for any research conducting by private bodies.
