The innovative 1st Masterclass “Pelvic Floor Surgery” was successfully completed on Saturday, May 24th at “St. Luke’s” Clinic in Thessaloniki, sponsored by EmbryoClinic and Dr. Elias Tsakos.
Pelvic organ prolapse is a silent epidemic affecting the quality of life of thousands of women, with a significant impact on quality of life. Recognizing the need to shed light on the problem, raise awareness and educate physicians on its treatment, Dr. Elias Tsakos and EmbryoClinic organized the 1st Masterclass on “Pelvic Floor Surgery” on Saturday, May 24th at “St. Luke’s” Clinic in Thessaloniki. The seminar was held under the auspices of the Hellenic Robotic Gynaecological Society (HERGS) and with the support of the Greek Delegation of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of the United Kingdom (RCOG) and SofMedica.
The masterclass was a complete success and all participant positions were filled. The trainees had the opportunity to witness the latest, minimally invasive treatment techniques, with an emphasis on the pioneering role of robotic surgery. The training of the participants was undertaken by the internationally renowned Specialist Pelvic Floor Surgeons Dimitrios Bolovis and Cosima Brucker, from the University Gynaecology Clinic of the Nuremberg Hospital. At the same time, through well-founded scientific discussions and presentations, the real extent of the issue of pelvic organ prolapse, its impact on mobility, dignity, normal functionality and mental health was highlighted, as well as the fact that its treatment is not only aimed at anatomical restoration, but at restoring life itself.
